Dakota von Dahn, who is about 2 years old, is one special boy. He is currently recovering from a terrible situation in which he was kept chained outside. His collar became embedded in his neck, requiring surgery.  Fly strikes have torn up the tips of his ears and his back, shorn of fur, bears a long row of scars and healing wounds. As heartbreaking as the evidence is, Dakota is nonetheless the most loving of dogs. He still believes in the goodness of people, and is energized by their presence. In fact, Dakota is a young, energetic dog who would love nothing more than to be at your side wherever adventure takes you! He would benefit from training. He reacts defensively around other dogs, choosing to bark at them, but enjoys walking solo. Dakota is a great testament to the resilience and goodness of dogs; he was maltreated by people but is still willing to trust. He is brimming with life and love, and longs for a second act.
